Kakikayan..

Yesterday after work I thought of doing something for myself.. So I went to the mall and scouted for a good basic make-up set.

I found this shop - "Napoleon Perdis"
and the lady was very nice to help me find suitable make-up for my skin type and tone. She even gave me a free demonstration. I was really tempted to buy the set.. but thought twice.. tsk.. tsk.. "hmm.. medyo mahal.." thinking that we are going away this coming weekend for Jon's mom's wedding. "I'll definitely come back for the foundation stick and powder! haha!"

Talk about a crash course in make-up application. She taught me how to apply make-up properly. I am not really the type of gal who puts on a lot of make-up.. 'cause 1. I cant be bothered too much and 2. Hunybee does not want too much make-up on a girl.

But I thought.. hmm.. I'm growing old now and I have to be able to master this skill :) So I searched and searched for a budget make-up kit.. and found "Maybelline".. A lot cheaper than Napoleon :) I tried applying the make-up on this morning, trying to remember the crash course I had yesterday :) Turned out not too bad :) (I think..)
The wonders of "kakikayan" :)

Ang hirap mag-isip ng wedding souvenirs.. I wanted something that would not only remind my guests of jon and i and our special day but also of themselves.

So I came up with this personalised souvenirs for our guests.

Photos of the guests will be taken during the reception. I made a sample mock-up of our souvenir photo folder.

On Tutus and Flower Girls

I can't remember if I have dreamt of this or saw this somewhere.. This was my perfect idea of our flower girls! A tutu inspired dress :) and a tiny tiara above their head.

And then we saw these tutus while walking down sydney one tuesday afternoon.. aren't they so cute!!! This shot was taken from a window display of one of the stores.
I would love these on my flower girls!

Entorouge Dresses

These are the sketches of my entourage's gowns from New Yorker. I am opting a modern design so I chose to have bubble skirts for "mah ladies"!

This first design is for our Secondary Sponsors. The second design is for our bridesmaids.

These dresses will be made of Silk Tafetta and I chose these color fabric for our motif.

Tuesday Afternoon...

Another day off.. Jon and I enjoyed the day around
sydney city :) A nice walk around Hyde Park..though it drizzled a little bit..

Then we visited St. Mary's Cathedral.. honestly, this is by far the most
beautiful Cathedral I have ever been in.. I want to get married in here!!
(not possible though..)

Then off to the shops! We found Max Brenner! Oh my.. I think we won't touch another piece of chocolate in the next few weeks.. haha! The treat was really good! but I think we ordered far too much that after the "pig out", we felt sick! haha! Then we had chinese massage.. )mine was not too great tho.. :( sad! )..

It was a really great day out! :) well.. back to work tomorrow!

This is our proposed wedding guest pass. Thanks to w@w sis for sharing the boarding pass template and also credits to Aylee Designs for sharing this to all bride-to-be's :) I used Fernbrook Garden's map for this mock-up (we're still not sure which venue to book by the way..). We might change the photos later on using our prenup photos.

D.I.Y. Invites

This is the first mock-up of our do-it-yourself invites. Proudly made by Jhen! (and inputs from jonats) :)

The much awaited WHITE DRESS

This is it!!! After browsing through many many many many wedding mags at hanggang lumabo na ang ilong ko kaka-search sa internet for "the one"... finally,,, this is it!!!!

The much long awaited WHITE DRESS

I've sent Tina Lirag of New Yorker tons and tons of wedding gown photos.. sabi nga nya na talagang I'll get confused dahil I am looking at many photos..

The talented Tina incorporated all the bits and pieces for this wonderful gown. I was a bit hesitant to get a strapless gown for our wedding kse naman kailangan ko pa mag gym for a very very long time! I've actually sent her my photo as well to get her opinion if ever babagay sa akin ang strapless.. which she said I look fine wearing one.

This is her actual sketch of my wedding gown. Strapless bodice with bolero. Pick-up skirt with belt accent on the waist. Beaded/crystal designs the sides of both front and back. And of course a train. I can't wait to see New Yorker's final product!
